Defeated, I pass in her arms
She looked me in the eye
Her hair fell gently on my face
Her gorgeous eyes, her gentle smile
She leaned in, cupping my cheek
But it was too late
My eyes were already closed
I wasn't ready to let go
This moment was all I wanted
To die in her arms
For her to hold me
Until I bleed out
My body was demolished
Nothing left to do now
Except let myself go...
It felt like a bad dream
Like I was asleep all that time
Because I woke up, opened my eyes
There was a campfire
It was almost too close for comfort
But it felt nice, it felt warm
I felt... strange, complete-
I looked down at myself
Felt myself frantically, all over
I had two arms to call my own
And two legs to stand and hug
There was no hole where my heart goes
And no blood pooling out anywhere
I was alright, aside from the scars
I could feel them through my clothing
It felt as if I was stitched together by hand
I stood up
Spread my arms out like wings
I finally tasted freedom
But the sky was dark and my blood was red-
The dried blood
Staining my clothes and my body
I felt nauseous, I felt weak
But I'm alive
I'm here
I walked and I walked
This place is dark, I can barely perceive it
Even squinting, there's nothing I can see
I tried to reach out anywhere and everywhere
Even reaching, there's nothing I can touch
Behind me, I hear someone else walking
And I looked back
He's the only person I can see
He looked like he knew me
But I've never seen this man before
He stood tall and proud
He reached out his hand
It's hard to deny the fact
That currently, I need help
So I took his hand
It was instant
The flowers around me blooming
The trees stood tall
And the people here seemed happy
He let go of me
And stood behind him was a beautiful girl
She wrapped her arms behind the man
And she looked at me;
In that moment, it was hard to deny my safety
But I didn't see the girl anywhere
I looked frantically for her
There were so many people here
The beach was so beautiful
But now, I feel alone
I feel safe, but
If she's not here
What was the point of saving me?
The man pointed behind me
And there she was
And it was hard to deny
I still love her
But she gave me a look that screamed
"Welcome home..."
And it was hard to deny
I still love her
But this is not my home
