Let My Tears Fall III

Now, I feel stuck
What will I do now?
What can I do now...

On this balcony in this musical hall
I look down on the performer
A tall, elegant man
A handsome man
I pursued arts on my own
Why can't I replicate that?

I ran out of new thoughts to think
Or new words to say
New words to write
I told myself not to cry
And I let my tears fall anyway

I wanted to talk to him after the show
But a part of me loomed where I stood
After I had taken steps away
I looked back and could see a visage
My eyes were particularly bright

The smokey visage spoke to me
But I couldn't understand its broken Spanish
I think he realized halfway through
He grabbed my shoulders and shook me
And he let his tears fall anyway
He's just like me
I know he's lost, I know he wants help
But I can't help him

I left him on that balcony
A part of me wants to go after him
To go save him
But there's no way I can
And I know I should't be sad about it
But I let my tears fall anyway
