Canary Love

Poem 26

Chinese Food

The rush of last night
Drained our bodies
You and I need energy for another round

Chinese food is your favorite food
And I know you're not picky, unlike me
I order whatever for you, but a lot of whatever
For myself, just rice

You wonder why I eat so light despite my size
The truth is, I love the rice and nothing else
It was funny seeing the question come from
A girl with sauce over her lips already
And four dishes beside her
You hadn't even touched most of them
But I got it all for you because I know
Chinese food is your favorite food
